The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research using online databases, libraries, and other resources to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Assist attorneys with case management tasks, such as organizing and maintaining case files, scheduling hearings, and coordinating discovery.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and facilitate case progression.
  • Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, organizing trial binders, and coordinating witness testimony.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and privileged communications.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, managing calendars, and processing billing and expenses.
  • Stay current with changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals to ensure efficient and effective delivery of legal services.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
  • Prior experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred.
  • Proficiency in legal research methods and tools, including LexisNexis.
