Homelessness is the largest social and public health crisis in California. Illumination Foundation (IF) is a growing non-profit organization dedicated towards disrupting the cycle of homelessness by providing targeted, interdisciplinary services in our recuperative care centers, emergency shelters, housing services and children's and family programs. IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.

Job Description
The Site Ambassador leads the Site Support team by example while assisting clients with all immediate needs for daily living and maintaining facility upkeep. 
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experience.


Responsibilities
Lead Duties:

  • Lead daily operations for the facility.
  • Monitor all facility needs (i.e. water delivery, trash pick-up, gardening, etc.). Ensure facilities are clean and organized at all times.
  • Supervise and train Site Support personnel.
  • Work with the Logistics Manager and Site Manager to ensure all projects, repairs and ordering are addressed and completed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for tracking, monitoring and ordering inventory. Go supply shopping as needed and ensure the offices are supplied and stocked.
  • Submit weekly update reports, vehicle logs, facility logs and inventory logs to the Site Manager and Logistics team to comply with all facility requirements and standards.
  • Input all necessary information by utilizing Google Docs and update all current documents.
  • Maintain accurate records in electronic and paper files.

Ambassador Duties:

  • Prepare for all incoming new employees by coordinating with the site manager and applicable supervisors and mentors.
  • Lead initial site tours on new employee’s Culture Immersion Day.
  • Keep up with the new employee’s 90 Day process by checking in with employees and all applicable managers and mentors.
  • Report to HR Director on IF 90 Day Immersion Experience progress

Client Care:

  • Prepare and serve meals to clients while following food safety practices.
  • Assist with client intakes and outtakes by preparing client bed area and providing client with site rules/policies
  • Check in with clients on-site and perform walk-throughs of dorm areas to ensure client safety and welfare.
  • Conduct periodic checks of client belongings to ensure that prohibited items are not brought on-site.

Client Transportation:

  • Drive clients to and from appointments/general program activities as scheduled or authorized.
  • Update Transportation Logs and inform Supervisor of any vehicle issues.
 

Preferred Experience/Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years relevant experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to send and receive emails and summarize data in spreadsheets.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License and eligibility for company vehicle insurance.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
