GIS TECHNICIAN POSITION

we-do-IT Inc. (aka WDI) is a GIS and IT consulting firm specializing in Electric and Gas Utility Consulting. Our team works 100% remotely. We believe in living your life and enjoying your work. We offer highly competitive compensation, up to 27 days paid time off (PTO) and public holidays.  The position is part-time up to 36 hours per week.  This position is projected to last through April 1, 2025, candidates may be considered for longer term positions, but not guaranteed.

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $21 to $25 per hour (equivalent salary of $39,000 to $47,000).

Bonuses: Annual bonus based on personal and company performance.

Paid Time Off: up to 27 days of PTO with a minimum of 15 days.

Retirement: 4% 401k match.

401k Profit Sharing: based on corporate performance.

Home office subsidies: Internet, phone, office supplies, office reimbursement.

Training subsidy: $2,500 per year plus.

Conferences: Attend industry conferences.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Consulting

  • Enter GIS map correction and as-built into GIS (Smallworld and Esri ArcGIS)
  • Perform GIS map correction and as-built in GIS
  • Help document and maintain work instructions for data entry into the GIS
  • Participate in weekly project meetings
  • Be a team contributor

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  1. Natural gas distribution GIS experience
  2. Smallworld GIS or ESRI ArcGIS experience


Desired

  1. Computer operation tech savvy – intuitive with computer software.
  2. Working on or current GIS degree or equivalent technical degree,
  3. or Equivalent experience (i.e., military or on the job training (OJT)).
  4. Gas distribution system or Electric distribution utility experience.

 

Candidates must have a desire and aptitude to learn. Extensive.

 

 

Other Requirements:

  • Available to work across US time zones as needed (occasional hours after 5PM).
  • Must be able to work legally in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass a drug Test.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain a TSA Known Traveler Number (KTN).
