- Assist in the management of the collections process, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue accounts.
- Coordinate communication with clients regarding past due invoices and payment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and correspondence in the company database.
- Prepare and distribute weekly AR reports and reports reflecting the status of collections to the Collections Manager and Finance team.
- Support and develop strategies to reduce the days sales outstanding (DSO).
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and answering phone calls related to collections and office needs.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to resolve disputes and discrepancies that may affect collections.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations regarding debt collection.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a collections or finance environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP Systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of collections regulations and fair credit practices.
