No weekends, no call, no holiday's Position Purpose The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the mission of the facility. Prepare patients for surgical procedures, monitors and cares for patients post-operatively and prepares patients for discharge. Responsible for conducting business and patient care activities consistent with the ASC’s policy for Patient’s Rights and Responsibilities without discriminating against the individual because of sex, age, race or religion or any other potentially discriminating factor. Responsible for the discrete and confidential handling of all patient information whether written or spoken, and to be ever vigilant and sensitive to where and how any patient information is shared. Interpersonal Relationships As a representative of ADSC, all comments, attitudes, actions and behaviors have a direct effect on the facility’s image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, family members, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork congruent with facility standards and guidelines to promote positive relations, and set an example for the staff. Ability to lift/transfer patients in excess of 100 pounds, which may require pushing, pulling, and essentially utilizing a full range of body movement. Ability to reach, grasp, use fine finger movement and feel fine sensation to discern temperature, texture, size and shape. Degree of Supervision Provided to Position Minimal.
