SUMMARYA Facility Engineer is responsible for maintaining, repairing and upgrading the physical structures and systems of a building or a group of buildings.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conducting regular inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
  • Overseeing contractors and vendors during construction and renovation projects.
  • Maintaining and updating building plans, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Implementing safety and security measures to ensure the safety of building occupants and protect facilities and equipment.
  • Monitoring and controlling utility consumption.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry regulations and standards to ensure the facilities comply with all relevant laws and codes.
  • Responsible for working with vendors for scheduled maintenance on facility equipment.
  • Ensures smooth site operations and thus a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure all facility needs are updated.
  • Other work as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities

  • Qualifications for this role typically include a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field, and several years of experience in facility management or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills, project management experience, and effective communication skills are also essential.

  • Microsoft Office experience
  • US person status (including US citizens, permanent residents, asylees and refugees) is a required qualification for this position.

Education

  • Associate Degree in Engineering Science or 2 years of equivalent work experience required.
