About the Role

As a key member of AESC US LLC, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to lead in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future. You will be managing a team across multiple shifts and coordinating activities between operations and Quality Assurance. Controlling department costs, scrap, purchased supplies, and quality of products while supporting uptime targets. The ideal candidate will partner with the management on key initiatives and will develop, implement, and manage various projects and programs in support of overall business effectiveness.

Your work within the Quality team will directly impact our strategic goals and contribute to our position as a global leader in battery technology.

What You Will Do


  • Coordinate the development and planning of new programs and events
  • Responsible for goals and objectives as they pertain to quality, cost, delivery, and safety
  • Maintain a positive employee relations environment
  • Establish and monitor quality performance to cost budgets. Implements proper measures to continually reduce costs
  • Assist the production and engineering departments with investigations and resolutions of chronic or severe in-plant quality problems. Decides disposition of non-conforming product
  • Manage Engineers responsible for warranty, purchase parts, and customer support
  • Plan for new projects and processes based on information from engineering and management that affects assigned areas of responsibility. Contract other workgroups with the company to obtain their services and support for determining the content and timing of these new processes
  • Supervise and provide leadership, coaching, guidance, training and staff development; interview and select unit employees; plan and evaluate employee performance, recommend merit increases, transfers, and promotions, counsel and discipline employees as necessary; recommend termination when appropriate, and monitor the time and attendance of team members
  • Knowledgeable in AESC and worldwide leading quality standards and have firm practical knowledge. Analytical thinking, communication, interpersonal and implementation skills

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering)
  • Minimum of 10 years of directly related professional-level Engineering experience working in manufacturing
  • Minimum of 3 years in an engineering role exhibiting leadership skills
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with good written and verbal communication skills and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Must have a good understanding of root cause analysis (RCA), problem-solving techniques, and process control management for quality and throughput issue resolution
  • Ability to quickly obtain a working knowledge of lithium-ion batteries
  • Independent, driven, eager to learn, strong time management skills, and the ability to manage simultaneous and often changing priorities
  • New model experience and equipment design, installation, and commissioning, PFMEA and Control Plans
  • Knowledge of project management related to the introduction of products to market and PPAP’s to the customer
  • Ability to work and lead contractors through the process of RDP to commissioning of equipment
  • Ability to follow specific directions and to work independently in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Experience performing internal and external audits
  • Experience working and leading a team across cultural and discipline boundaries.
  • Ability to apply technical math skills to solve real-world problems
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic.
