Role and Responsibilities

Innovasea is seeking a Full-time Senior Program Manager for Open Ocean product development who will be responsible for management of initiatives of various high profile B2B solutions that are advancing Open Ocean Aquaculture around the globe. 

The Senior Program Manager will report to the Vice President of Engineering and is responsible for managing a product development project from concept to commercial release and initial launch phases.  This highly visible position allows the Senior Program Manager to work closely with Innovasea leadership, engineering, marketing, and sales to help frame the various deliverables of an initiative.  The solutions developed by Innovasea are dynamic in form and function, making this position flexible in exposure to many aspects of software, hardware, and methods of solving customer user needs in the market. 

During the product launch effort, the Senior Program Manager will work with different functions to help identify deliverables to the Go-to-Market process which include pricing, value proposition, use cases and installation planning.

As Senior Program Manager, applicants must have strong organizational and communication skills.  Innovasea is seeking individuals with the core values that meet our drive to meet commitments, compromise, and help advance the work when faced with external and internal barriers as they are identified by risk management activities. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage project workflow, ensuring smooth coordination of activities, which include planning, execution, verification, and validation
  • Develop and manage schedules and budget
  • Collaborate with Resource owners to help secure project resources based on project prioritization and the management of day-to-day activities
  • Formulate tactics for execution of the project strategy at large
  • Participate as a member of the product launch core team and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Meet with customers on site to help identify the opportunities that best facilitate deployment of new technology
  • Participate in Technical Reviews to provide an ‘end user’ and ‘realistic’ program perspective
  • Lead Phase Gate reviews that seek to gain approval for advancing to new phases of the design project process
  • Interface with Innovasea designers and engineers from multiple disciplines; manufacturing, field installation, customers, and consultants
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams on projects
  • Some travel is required, including international client sites


Required Experience and Skills

  • 6+ years of demonstrated project management experience in the product development sector
  • Proven track record of successfully driving programs to completion with good results to customers and internal partners alike
  • Knowledge of Project Management discipline and methods to help drive planning, communication, and execution
  • Ability to navigate and lead in an ambiguous environment, seeking clarification where needed
  • Experience effectively communicating and presenting with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
  • Strong organization, coordination, planning, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to absorb and visualize system functionality, to help create block diagrams, and to communicate the end vision for the product solution being commercialized
  • Familiarity with Risk Management for business and product alike
  • Competency in various computer software programs such as Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrates a detailed oriented, self-starter, who takes initiative, prioritizes and able to coordinate multiple tasks in a busy environment


Education

A minimum of bachelor’s degree is required in an Engineering, or Science field.

  • Scope and Change Management principles
  • Knowledge of PMBOK
