Job Summary

Support the Hotel's Accounting Manager in the day-to-day accounting functions to ensure Cash Management, AR, and the Daily Audit is compliant to both Hilton and Nor Hotel policies and accounting procedures. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential. Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must. Experience in Hilton On-Q is preferred but not required.

Qualifications and Standards

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required and/ or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work 8 hours or more daily.
  • Ability to sit during long hours.
  • Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 to 50 pounds when moving accounting boxes.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly and accurately.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

Duties & Functions:

Essential Functions:

  • Perform daily accounting tasks as directed by the hotel's Accounting Manager.
  • Count daily cash drops for accuracy and process deposits. Review audit packs for promos, coupons, and comps.
  • Perform AR functions through the Hilton PMS-OnQ Direct Bill platform, accept payments, track AR, and collect unpaid balances.
  • Perform random in-house bank audits of individuals, MOD bank and CR host/hostess bank.
  • Handle questions and concerns from both in-house and former guests in a timely and professional manner.

Supportive Functions:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Accounting Manager based upon the requirements of the hotel.

  • Filing, scanning, and answering phone calls.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
