Job Description

Pay Rate: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Position Purpose:

This position will be tasked with being in the field observing excavation and sewer pipe replacement/repair. The position required to document status and performance.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Sewer line and repair and replacement inspection

  • Take detailed photos.
  • Fill out inspection reports.
  • Act as Liaison with contractor and engineering department.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed both inside and outside with exposure to all kinds of weather conditions. 
  • Candidate may be occasionally exposed to some noise, silica, dust, fumes, smoke, gases, greases, oils, electrical energy, solvents, and vibrations. 
  • Candidate may work on slippery/uneven surfaces, around machinery with moving parts, moving objects/vehicles, and ladder/scaffolding, below ground and may be exposed to water and other liquid materials.
Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year associate degree desired.
  • Experience working with contractors.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Maintain accurate records and submit accurate reports.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

  • Valid driver’s license is required.
