DUTIES: Reporting to the Program Director, responsible for the design and instruction of Educational Component elements for Participant Orientation


  • Responsible for the design of Educational Component elements, including Workplace Readiness, Financial Literacy, Health Education, Higher Education Exploration, Career Exploration, and Reflection and Analysis
  • Coordinate with Project Coordinator in scheduling participants in Participant Orientation.
  • Work with the Project Coordinator and seasonal Project Coordinators in the direct implementation and delivery of the Educational Component,
  • Responsible for administering appropriate assessment examinations
  • Responsible for coordinating with Program Director for field trips and special events

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or at least three years of College and two years of instructional experience.
  • Ability to design and implement course curriculum.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work a flexible and occasionally hectic schedule.
  • Knowledge of SEL and PYD.
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of East Flatbush, Flatbush, Crown Heights, and Canarsie neighborhoods.
