Summary

We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated daycare teacher to join our team. The daycare teacher will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and enriching environment for young children in our care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.

Duties

  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development in areas such as language, cognitive, social, and motor skills.
  • Provide a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel safe, cared for, and encouraged to explore and learn.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naptime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and coworkers through open communication and collaboration.
  • Observe and assess children's progress and behavior, and communicate findings to parents through regular progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom environment that meets health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other daycare staff to plan and coordinate special events and holiday celebrations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.


Requirements

  • Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and coworkers.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and adapt to the changing needs of a dynamic daycare environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
  • Background Check, Doctor's Physical, DHS Training upon being hired and before starting work.
