The Minister of Helps supports the Operations Manager, primarily in the areas of facilities and volunteer’s coordination for services/events. The primary focus of this position is to provide leadership for staffing, training and scheduling of Adult Service Teams. This individual will also provide Spiritual Development through preservice devotions and prayer. The minister will provide leadership to the user-friendly task force and will make and ensure user friendly recommendations are implemented. The minister will ensure that EMIC facilities are properly maintained, set up and prepared for scheduled events and services.

Additionally, will direct and develop EMIC members into an active role of service in the church by maintaining, developing and coordinating a response system for effective recruitment, development, placement, evaluation and appreciation of MOH teams. Work closely with and in conjunction with other service coordinators to ensure effective placement and utilization of volunteer team members.

Requirements:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership/User Friendliness

  • Provides direct leadership and spiritual development to the following adult service teams: ushers, hostesses, greeters, first time guest team, traffic, information station, shuttle bus team, and Connect team (children's check-in).
  • Provides leadership to the user-friendly task force. Implements team recommendations.
  • Is the primary customer service manager to assure that campus facilities, programs and services are user-friendly.
  • Provides oversight for the EMIC services setups, as well as the day-to-day setups throughout EMIC/KCM.
  • Supervises the MOH coordinators to ensure they are completing task in a timely manner and with excellence.

Service Coordination

  • Maintain and follow policy and procedures of KCM/EMIC in the set-up of events and use of equipment.
  • Work with the Operations Team to plan and carry out all events including the set up, and strike of scheduled events in all said facilities.
  • Responsible for upkeep of all said facilities by communicating maintenance and housekeeping needs to KCM Building maintenance and housekeeping departments.
  • Responsible for inventory, maintaining control and ordering of supplies and equipment for all said facilities and volunteers.
  • Responsible for orderly arrangement and upkeep of EMIC ancillary supplies, including but not limited to tables, chairs, food items, communion supplies, benevolence product and other items as needed.
  • Distributes incoming orders and supplies to the right locations as needed. (Food orders, operational supplies, etc.)
  • Facilitates the use of furniture, decorations, etc. for an event or project, and the actual setup, subsequent teardown, clean up, and restoring of all facilities to ministry standards.
  • Responsible for upkeep of EMIC baptism robes, towels, clothing and making arrangements for the cleaning and storage of those items.
  • Responsible for the collection and securing of all regular and special offerings.
  • Maintains allocated storage facilities in conjunction with ministry standards.
  • Ensures KCM Security is notified of all services, events and meetings and works with security to ensure all legal and safety procedures are addressed and implemented in EMIC facilities.
  • During services the MOH Minister is responsible for all issues pertaining to said facilities in relation to lighting, heating/cooling, and access.
  • During services the MOH Minister is responsible for all issues pertaining to adult service teams including; ushers, hostesses, greeting and first time guest teams, security relations, traffic team, shuttle bus drivers, information station, and children's check-in.

Ministry of Helps Coordination

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement an effective MOH program.
  • Work closely with and train departmental leaders to assess staffing needs. Work with leaders to prepare for, recruit, place orient, utilize train and promote MOH team members ensuring consistency throughout departments.
  • Utilize member, donor and other databases to maintain a catalog of MOH positions with skills and abilities required and match them to applicants and track MOH assignments.
  • Work closely with other church departments to plan and implement training, promotion, leadership development and appreciation of MOH teams.
  • In conjunction with other departments develop written training manuals, policies for successful operation of services. Manuals will be written in such a format that they can be shared with other churches.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Graduate of Bible School is a plus
  • High School graduate or GED

Experience:

Prefer two years leadership experience as lay leader or other professional leadership experience

experience serving in the Ministry of Helps.


Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships inside and outside the organization.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees all EMIC Ministry of Helps Volunteers and facilities staff.


EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

Computer, and various Church Sanctuary Equipment (i.e.. tables, chairs, carts, etc.)


TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to be on your feet all day long if necessary.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds multiple tithers per day.
  • Must be able to move Tables, Chairs, etc.


TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:

Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to react with appropriate urgency to events and situations that require good judgment calls.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to manage multiple priorities with, at times, pressing timelines while maintaining positive relationships with co-workers

  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives

  • Must be a regular tither at EMIC.
