Job Summary:

The Learning and Development Coordinator position creates and maintains the Wallingford Access Center training and curriculum for new hires and veteran agents. They have a vital role in maintaining the highest level of patient safety. They are the subject matter experts for all processes and procedures performed by the access center. This innovative thinker works closely with the Access Center Assistant Manager, Modality Managers, and Site Managers to develop, document, implement, and maintain comprehensive training and quality assurance plans for all Wallingford Access Center agents.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Reports to the Access Center Assistant Manager
  2. Develops onboarding training processes to leverage the access center's vast knowledge of clinical and procedural information to ensure patient safety.
  3. Develops and distributes training and resource materials to access center agents.
  4. Maintain and update reference, scheduling, and training materials referencing the access center's standard work.
  5. Work closely with the managers, supervisor, and team leaders to provide the most up-to-date training programs.
  6. Assesses new hire progress using Training Progress Reports.
  7. Uses Avaya reports to evaluate agent productivity against expected goals.
  8. Utilize Avaya to manage the Agent Administration function.
  9. Conducted and coordinated new hire orientations with the access center leadership team and helped new hires settle into their surroundings. Introduces new hires to MRA's mission and vision and H3W culture and introduces the new hire to the access center staff.
  10. Develops and updates material, qualifications, and testing processes related to agents transitioning to the RSA II position.
  11. Deliver training with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  12. Provide training that is understandable to agents of all ranges of comprehension.
  13. Provide training tailored to the specific needs of the access center agents.
  14. Provide Quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  15. Create daily training plans when necessary to meet the access center's needs and goals.
  16. Provide training off-site at branch offices for onboarding and retraining.
  17. Assist and fulfill access center needs in the absence of access center leadership.
  18. Facilitate meetings and liaise with our site partners to identify and resolve issues and barriers within the process, policies, and procedures.
  19. Attend interviews and assist in the selection of new access center candidates.
  20. The Learning and Development coordinator's responsibilities may be modified at any time.
  21. Other duties may include assisting in various functions.
  22. Acts as a backup to the Assistant Manager

Qualifications Guidelines:

Education Required:

· Associate's Degree minimum, Bachelor's Degree preferred.

· Individual exceptions may apply only under the discretion of the Medical and Administrative Director

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

· 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry (preferred).

· 2+ years of training experience, including training new hires.

· Experience developing and delivering training programs, including training needs analysis and evaluation.

· Experience with Epic, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint required, and OnBase/RightFax is preferred.

· Experience in scheduling all radiology modalities (preferred)

· Experience in obtaining authorizations (preferred)

· Demonstrable ability to develop and implement ongoing access center operations training plans.

· Ability to confidently present information in a group setting.

· Positive solution-based attitude with a flexible and patient demeanor is imperative

· Experience with learning management systems and related training and quality evaluation tools preferred.

· Strong verbal, written communication, and organization skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team environment.

· Strong analytical, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

· Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced, changing access center environment.

· Ability to devote time to meet business needs and ongoing operations.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
