Job Summary:
By the Sea Resorts is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Assistant. This position will primarily be responsible for assisting our accounting department with various financial tasks and ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. This is a full-time, hourly role located in Panama City Beach, Florida and compensation ranges from $18 to $20 per hour.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience. As a full-time employee, you will also be eligible for benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements and identify any discrepancies
- Prepare and process invoices and expense reports
- Monitor and record cash transactions
- Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures
- Generate financial reports and assist with budget preparation
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing and payment inquiries
- Maintain accurate and organized filing system for financial documents
- Assist with various ad-hoc financial projects as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college coursework in accounting or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
