As a cashier, you will handle all financial transactions accurately and efficiently. Your excellent communication and multitasking skills will be crucial in managing a variety of tasks while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at the cashier’s desk.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and welcome customers as they enter the dealership, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.

2. Answer incoming phone calls promptly and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel.

3. Assist customers in a courteous manner, addressing their inquiries and providing information about the dealership's products and services.

4. Process financial transactions, including cash, credit card, and check payments for service bills, and parts orders.

5. Maintain an accurate and organized cash register, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.

6. Reconcile the cash register and prepare daily reports for management.

7. Assist the service department with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.

8. Keep the reception area tidy and well-maintained, ensuring a professional and inviting environment.

9. Manage appointment scheduling for the service department, optimizing the efficiency of customer visits.

10. Collaborate with other dealership staff to ensure a seamless customer experience and efficient workflow.

11. Stay updated on dealership promotions, events, and offerings to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.

12. Uphold dealership policies and procedures, including privacy and security regulations.

13. Support marketing efforts by distributing promotional materials and gathering customer feedback.

 

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Previous experience as a cashier, receptionist, or in a customer service role is preferred.

3. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.

4. Excellent multitasking and time management abilities.

5. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and financial transactions.

6. Proficiency in using office equipment, such as computers, printers, and telephone systems.

7. Professional and pleasant demeanor with a customer-first approach.

8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

9. Knowledge of automotive dealership operations is a plus but not required.

10. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours as needed.
