Veterinary Financial Liaison
Responsible for reviewing medical billing records, ensuring accurate and proper billing practices, and identifying any discrepancies that might impact the financial accuracy of our veterinary services.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Join ICU patient rounds and communicate with the doctors and technicians on the needs of the clients regarding billing and updates on financial status while their pet is being hospitalized.
- Conduct thorough audits of medical billing records and invoices for other services to ensure accurate proper billing procedures.
- Identify and investigate any discrepancies, missed charges, or billing errors within veterinary service departments.
- Collaborate with the veterinarians and staff to rectify any identified discrepancies and ensure accurate billing adjustments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance billing processes and overall efficiency.
- Assist in training in proper billing practices.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management outlining audit findings, corrective actions taken, and suggestions for process improvement.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards in all billing and auditing activities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of veterinary medical services and terminology.
- Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology.
- Proven experience in veterinary medicine, billing, client relations or related roles.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to identify discrepancies and errors effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and walk intermittently
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Education and Experience:
- We believe that skills and experience are what truly matter. While education can be a valuable asset, it is not a requirement for success in this role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in veterinary healthcare billing auditing is preferred.
