- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Handle employee relations issues, such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Implement retention strategies to attract and retain top talent, including career development programs, training initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
- Provide guidance to managers on setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and providing feedback.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans as needed, ensuring fair and consistent performance management practices.
- Identify training needs and partner with Learning & Development department to connect team members with appropriate training modules.
- Stay updated on HR laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance.
- Assist with developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and promote a fair and inclusive workplace.
- Foster a positive work culture and employee engagement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BS degree in Human Resources or related field preferred: PHR Certification a plus.
- Proven work experience as an HR. business partner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and goal oriented.
- Demonstrable experience with HR metrics.
- Thorough knowledge of labor laws.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Texas Driver’s License: current liability insurance, personal transportation approved driving record.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate Team Members scheduling. Scheduling may include on-call, evening & weekend shifts.
- Bilingual required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
- The ability to cope with and tolerate moderate levels of stress is also a necessity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
