Job Description

As a Senior Manager - Commercial Finance at Arista Networks, you will play a crucial role in leading the commercial financial planning and analysis insights within the Finance function. You will be responsible for analyzing sales data, identifying trends, supporting forecasting and providing insights to drive strategic decision-making. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with sales leaders to optimize sales generation and ensure alignment with corporate financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Utilize financial models and tools to forecast sales performance and evaluate revenue projections.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports and dashboards to communicate key sales metrics and performance indicators to management. Develop insightful commentary to explain variances and trends.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Support the sales forecasting and budgeting processes by providing accurate and timely financial analysis. Collaborate with sales teams to develop sales targets and track progress against goals.
  • Sales Operations Support: Partner with sales operations teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in sales forecasting, pipeline management and deal analysis (where applicable).
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Product Management, to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with overall corporate objectives.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management, providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales-related financial analysis, preferably in a technology company.
  • Experience in deal structures for Fortune 500/Russell 2000 companies.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and build strong working relationships across functions.
