SUMMARY
The Technical Project Manager will manage and oversee all aspects of a technology project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget. You will have the overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, vendors, and contractual deliverables. You will develop detailed project plans, monitor project milestones, and generate periodic status reports. Evaluates and manages risk. Incorporates quality measures and standards to project deliverables. Possesses a strong knowledge of technology.
Requirements:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee the project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budget.
· Manage and lead a variety of technical projects, managing expectations and aligning project objectives with organizational goals while ensuring successful completion.
· Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
· Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
· Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
· Communicate project goals, objectives, and status to all stakeholders, including team members, senior management, and external partners.
· Coordinate project phases and schedules with internal resources and third-parties/vendors, ensuring that all team members are aligned and working towards the same project goals.
· Track the progress of the project and adjust plans as needed.
· Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
· Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
· Ensure resource availability and allocation.
· Develop and implement project risk management plans, and proactively identify and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle, escalating to management as needed.
· Ensure that all project documentation is completed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle including project charters, overviews, timelines, etc. – documentation should also include any changes, updates, and version control.
· Provide regular project status updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. BS or BA in project management, business administration, information systems, computer science, or other related field of study.
2. 3+ years of experience managing information technology projects.
3. Proficiency in the use of project management software and tools, including Gantt charts, Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
4. Well versed in the PMBOK.
5. Adept in the project management lifecycle.
6. Understanding of project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
7. Ability to manage multiple information technology projects at a time.
8. Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication to both internal and external stakeholders.
9. Ability to work with all levels of staff and management across the organization.
10. Highly organized, task oriented with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
11. Proficiency in Risk Management.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
13. Ability to influence change and deal with ambiguous or challenging situations.
14. Strong technology background with the ability to discuss complex technical concepts.
15. Experience in leading and completing projects, demonstrating the ability to drive initiatives from ideation to completion.
