Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-4:00pm MUST be willing to be flexible as jobs may change

Position Responsibilities of the Purchasing Admin


  • Support and guide the estimating personnel, project managers, and construction managers on purchasing procedures
  • Ensure that all administration procedures are followed and executed in a professional manner
  • Perform data entry for all aspects of material acquisition and inventory including:
    • Entry of inventory receipts and transfers
    • Verification and analysis of PO's vs. invoices
  • Support of purchasing agents in various other aspects
  • Ensure adherence to established procedures and requirements
  • Work in a schedule-driven environment and maintain time management


Experience and Qualification Requirements of the Purchasing Admin


  • High school diploma or GED  
  • Ability to read and comprehend written (English) material
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong data entry and attention to detail skills
  • 1+ years construction purchasing required
  • Electrical and/or HVAC industry a plus


Physical Requirements of the Purchasing Admin


  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use finders and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus
  • More than 40 hours per week may be necessary as workloads dictate. Weekdays and/or weekends may be included
  • Perform in an office environment, but may require light travel to client's offices, production facility, or construction job site
