The Area Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations and performance of multiple stores within their assigned area. Area Manager leads execution of company initiatives, resource allocation, store financial performance and goals, and leadership effectiveness. This position requires strong leadership, collaboration with colleagues, strategic thinking, and effective communication to ensure consistency and success across all stores.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensures efficient and effective day-to-day operations of multiple stores locations within the designated area.

· Ensures stores are staffed with employees who are trained, motivated and respectful of customer needs.

· Implement standardized processes and procedures to maintain consistency in customer service, inventory management, and overall store performance.

· Provides leadership and guidance to Store Managers within the area, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.

· Supports the recruitment, training, and development of store-level staff.

· Establishes and communicates performance metrics for individual stores, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, customer satisfaction, and employee productivity.

· Works with Store Managers to set and achieve performance targets.

· Collaborates with finance teams to develop and manage budgets for each store within the area.

· Monitors financial performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.

· Oversees inventory levels and merchandising strategies across stores.

· Optimizes product placement and assortment to meet customer demands and maximize sales.

· Ensures a consistent and high-quality customer experience across all stores.

· Addresses customer concerns and feedback promptly, implementing improvements as needed.

· Provides regular reports on store performance, challenges, and opportunities.

· Exercises significant authority and discretion when addressing items that concern the team's development:

i. Participates in developing and implementing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance the company’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.

ii. Completes annual reviews for staff and is a coaching voice to the team; counsels and follows corrective action procedures as needed.

iii. Recommends hiring, performance, corrective actions, separation, or advancement of employees.

· Establishes clear communication channels with Store leadership and upper management.

· Other duties as assigned.

● Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate activities across multiple locations simultaneously.

● Ensures adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

Physical Requirements

· Constantly: Walking, sitting at a desk, grasping/gripping, bending/stooping/squatting, finger dexterity, computer input, coordination of hand and eye.

· Frequently: Face contact with customers and staff

· Occasionally: Reaching above shoulder height, lifting 20-30 lbs., ability to do push/pull motions.

· Will require working varied hours/day, including nights weekends, holidays, and/or events on occasion.

· Occasionally: Must be able to workdays, nights, holidays and weekends.

  • This role is responsible for a geographic area and in turn, involves a fair amount of travel. Incumbent must have a valid driver’s license.

Education and Experience Required:

● At least 2 years of Store Manager experience and Inventory Management with knowledge of cannabis industry and cannabis knowledge. Experience with Multi-location leadership experience, a plus.

● Advanced knowledge of METRC system.

● Knowledge of Cannabis POS systems, such as Dutchie.

● Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
