POSITION SUMMARY:

Oversees, creates, and evaluates FSB's external and internal events in support of the bank's strategic growth, brand strategy, and overall company culture. Provides a wide range of administrative support duties to the marketing department, including FSB's travel club, Connect Club.


PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to identify events & initiatives that support customer retention, business development, and community engagement
  • Oversee, coordinate, and attend all FSB-hosted community and customer events, representing the bank in a positive and professional manner
  • Lead FSB's sponsorships and partnerships of community events in collaboration with other organizations
  • Lead the Employee Events Committee in developing and coordinating employee events that positively impact the bank's company culture
  • Champion and oversee the employee volunteer program by communicating volunteer opportunities to employees and managing the FSB volunteer database
  • Provide administrative and travel support to FSB's Connect Club as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing department.

GOALS AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • Increase attendance at FSB-hosted events each year with individual goals tailored to each event.
  • Evaluate and enhance FSB-hosted events by refreshing their objectives and offerings.
  • Explore opportunities to add FSB-hosted events for employees & community members to enjoy.
  • Represent FSB at sponsored events to ensure FSB's financial investment is utilized fully.
  • Assist Connect Club Director to increase travel members and attract younger demographics.
  • Lead, develop and coordinate employee events that positively and intentionally impact the bank's company culture.
  • Measure employee participation and understanding of what FSB's culture needs to continue to be faster, stronger, and better for employees and the communities it serves.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree in related field preferred or HS degree with 2+ years related work experience
  • Ability and experience to inspire and motivate others to get involved and take action
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and grammar skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to adjust to frequent changing priorities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management and strong organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of marketing, advertising, or public relations
  • Demonstrate Farmers State Bank's values and mission in the Eastern Iowa community
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds or more
  • Must be willing to work some nights and weekends
