Job Title: CONSTRUCTION APPRENTICE

Department: Maintenance/Construction

Reports To: Construction Manager

Rate of Pay: $17.00/Hour

Shift: Variable shifts supporting business demands:

Evenings, weekends, holidays and special events are required based on business needs and on-call for emergencies.

Part Time, Seasonal Position

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly


SUMMARY

The general purpose of this job is to provide support to Construction Technicians while they address Construction concerns and execute projects within the guidelines of the Resort's environmental commitment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist Construction Technicians with all construction projects as assigned by the Construction Manager.

Assist the Construction Manager with building projects as assigned by the Construction Manager

Comply with Safety Standards for the project and use of tools and machinery.

Comply with no-idling policy.

Keep work and guest areas safe, clean, and presentable while performing repairs and installations.

Clean up after repair or task.

Properly dispose of recycling and rubbish.

Support the recycling program.

Return tools and supplies to proper place ensuring a neat and organized work space and/or tool box.

Drive Sundance vehicles on and off property to assist in department errands and driving tasks as needed.

Maintain a clean/organized maintenance vehicle.

Assist other departments moving furniture, making improvements, unloading and storing supplies as directed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Basic knowledge hand, and power tools. Including, but not limited to screwdrivers, drills, tape measures, shovels, rakes, digging bars, hammers, and pliers.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess a valid U.S. driver license in good standing as approved by Sundance insurance companies.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
