Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Guide and mentor a team of data analysts, offering direction, support, and professional development opportunities.

  • Allocate team resources, prioritize tasks, and ensure projects are completed on time.

  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive team environment that prioritizes excellence and innovation.

Data Analysis and Insight Generation:

  • Use SQL and other data analysis tools (such as Excel, Python, or R) to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.

  • Develop analytical models and algorithms to discover actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.

  • Create effective data visualizations and dashboards to present insights to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and deliver insights that add business value.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels, managing expectations and priorities effectively.

  • Present complex data insights in a clear and compelling manner to non-technical audiences.

People Leadership and Development:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the analytics team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide constructive feedback.

  • Identify and facilitate training opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics with a demonstrated impact on business through data-driven insights.

  • At least 3 years of experience with SQL, proficient in data extraction, manipulation, and querying.

  • Experience with data analysis tools or programming languages such as Excel, Python, or R.

  • 3+ years of experience in managing people, with a proven ability to lead and develop teams.

  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and strong skills in data visualization.

  • Strong experience in stakeholder management with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience overseeing senior analysts, leads, or managers.

  • Experience in eCommerce and/or digital health product analytics.

  • Experience reporting to a Data or Engineering team with knowledge of engineering principles and processes.

  • Specific experience with Python and data analysis libraries like Pandas.

  • Experience with various data visualization tools, particularly those that create live dashboards.

  • Experience with B2B businesses with high-lifetime-value customers.

  • Experience with GCP or other cloud infrastructures (AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.).
