About the position: As the Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for the timely collection of outstanding accounts receivable and updating/maintaining client configurations.

What you'll do:

  • Collection of client accounts
  • Collection of outstanding insurance claims
  • Collection of outstanding patient responsibility balances
  • Processes client contact updates and client account maintenance
  • Validates new client contact information and submit vendor forms and required documentation to the client in a timely manner as needed
  • Answers incoming telephone calls in a professional, courteous, timely manner
  • Runs Monthly Patient Collection Letters
  • Verifies the distribution of automated client invoices through the billing system and correct/update delivery method as needed
  • Configures existing clients in the billing system with information received from the Client Development/Client Services Team
  • Accesses processes, duties, tasks and recommend updates to improve processes and procedures as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma
  • Two years of experience with medical billing/collections
  • Proficient with various software applications (Outlook, Excel, Word), computer systems, web-based applications, and third-party portals
