This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

General Summary of Duties: Assists nursing staff with basic care for patients under the supervision of nurse manager and Physician.

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Helps nurses gather medical history information. Provides routine patient care as outlined by the SC Nurse Practice and Medical Practice Acts, including following care plans, nursing assessments, administering medications, taking vital signs, and changing dressings.
  2. Observes patient condition and immediately communicates changes/concerns to RN or nurse manager. Documents patient information for medical record including vital signs and weight.
  3. Follows emergency procedures including using CPR if necessary.
  4. Helps stock patient exam rooms and clinical supplies.
  5. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  1. Current medical assistant certification as defined by SC Nurse Practice and Medical Practice Acts. If contacted for an interview, please provide a copy of current certification.
  2. Up-to-date CPR certification.
  3. Professional customer service skills.
  4. Skill in written and verbal communication.
  5. Ability to multi-task, including skills in organizing and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  6. Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.
  7. Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff.
