Job Description: The Arcadia Abroad Student Enrollment and Recruitment Counselor (SERC) is responsible for implementing top-of-funnel activities to increase the pipeline of qualified inquiries, continuously improving inquiry outreach and management, and working directly with students to increase inquiry-to-applicant conversions as a path to generate enrollment growth that meets and exceeds specific targets. This position will work under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Lead Generation, and in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.

The SERC is both data-driven and personable; able to identify and respond to shifts in key metrics while engaging prospective students from a wide range of backgrounds with a nuanced understanding of their needs. Taking a student-centric, externally-oriented approach, the PSA will define and drive efforts to maximize conversion of inquiries and incomplete applicants utilizing CRM and industry best practices; and maximize student satisfaction by providing strong service and relations. This position is remote-based in the United States.

Location: Remote - based within the United States

Essential Functions:

Lead Generation, and Student Outreach (75%)

  • In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, develop, deploy, and oversee segmented and targeted outbound lead generation strategies and activities to increase awareness, diversify lead sources, and identify and optimize channels, including but not limited to digital advertising, third-party portal outreach, partner platforms, social media engagement, and future platforms yet to be identified.
  • Develop and implement data-driven inquiry-to-applicant student conversion approaches, nurture streams, and engagement plans using automated communication campaigns, individual outreach, social media, and other communication methods to achieve maximum conversion across all College programs and help meet and exceed strategic enrollment targets.
  • Communicate with Institutional Engagement team members and report inquiries from unique institutions, trends in program interest, and inquiry trends from key domestic partners.
    Liaise with the Director of Advising and Student Engagement as well as key team members to properly advise inquiries, and collect information regarding application and program deadlines.
  • As the first or second point of contact for Arcadia Abroad prospects, follow up within 48 hours to inquiries from all sources through email, phone, texting, webinars, and other means.
  • Maintain regular contact with students, presenting and discussing Arcadia's programs and services in personalized and relevant ways.
  • Keep abreast of the College's services and programs through reading the literature, studying the website, and participating in US and overseas-based training programs.
  • Manage and support higher-level student and parent inquiries through a variety of mediums regarding academic and personal matters including admissions processes, program selection, credits, eligibility requirements, health and learning support, travel, immigration, housing and pre-departure preparations.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Institutional Engagement and Student Services teams to provide a coordinated sequence of communication to prospective students.
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager of Analytics & Strategic Planning to analyze lead generation strategies to ensure continuous improvement and success in meeting targets.
  • Collaborate with college staff, particularly members of the Enrollment Management & Institutional Engagement teams to target campus visits, advisor and faculty meetings, and student-facing events in order to achieve national, regional, and individual enrollment goals.
  • Identify and collaborate on resources and marketing materials needed for student recruitment including, but not limited to, discipline-focused pull sheets, program flyers (branded or co-branded), institutional email campaigns, posters and more.
  • Ensure that leads and inquiries from all sources are tracked and accurately entered into CRM.
    In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, manage online databases and third-party program repositories to ensure program information remains up-to-date and relevant and that the platforms are able to meet the needs of sending institutions.
  • Recruit, train, and manage content contributors insuring there is fresh student-developed content on our website and social media each term.

Market Research (5%)

  • Work collaboratively to propose and review institutional research, enrollment data, and database processes in order to improve inquiry generation and student conversion strategies.
  • Monitor and communicate developments and trends at partner institutions as they relate to student engagement and recruitment.

    College-wide Planning and Coordination (10%)

  • Participates in various team meetings to communicate updates on projections, share data and other information pertinent to the strategic plan, and discuss upcoming staff outreach and campus engagement activities.
  • Provide updated information to College colleagues about policies and processes at institutions to ensure inquiry and conversion processes run efficiently.
  • Provide market intelligence to Academic Affairs, Finance, Student Services, Marketing, and overseas offices to inform and guide discussions regarding program development, enhancement, pricing and promotion.

    Administration (10%)

  • Provide timely reports to inform other College staff about levels of student interest at institutions and broader student inquiry trends. Recommend and implement actions based on these inquiry trends.
  • Use the Customer Relationship Management system to manage inquiries and produce reports incorporating key institutional statistical information regarding student activity.
  • Enter inquiries into the CRM as needed to ensure tracking and response.
  • Support Director of Marketing and Lead Generation in implementing key enrollment and operations projects

Marginal Functions:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Interest in study abroad and international education
  • 2 or more years experience in customer service or a customer facing position.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel overnight and on weekends.
  • Willingness to occasionally work outside of traditional office hours
  • Other Requirements: (e.g., certificates, license required)
  • Experience with social media as an outreach channel.
