Primary purpose: Install countertops and related materials according to Franklin Building Supply standards.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Countertop Installation: Execute precise installations of natural and artificial stone countertops and backsplashes to the highest standards under the supervision of a Lead Installer.
  • Sink Installation: Skillfully install undermount sinks concurrently with countertop installations.
  • Onsite Fabrication: Proficiently perform onsite fabrication tasks as directed by the Lead Installer.
  • Collaboration: Assist the Lead Installer on job sites, actively communicating and addressing discrepancies and special conditions.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Demonstrate the ability to understand and interpret blueprint drawings and written specifications for accurate installations.
  • Documentation Review: Review installation paperwork in detail, seeking clarification from the Lead Installer when needed to understand the scope of a job.
  • Warranty Work: Execute countertop warranty work with attention to detail.
  • Customer Experience Enhancement: Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience during installation projects.
  • Proactive Communication: Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may impact job completion to the Lead Installer.
  • Tool Knowledge: Possess a strong knowledge of job-specific tools used in countertop installation, operating them correctly and safely.
  • Tool and Environment Maintenance: Maintain tools and work environment safely and cleanly, minimizing disturbance to other areas.
  • Safety and Quality: Prioritize safety and quality throughout the installation process.
  • Punctuality: Consistently arrive at work on time every day.
  • Communication Skills: Communicate openly and clearly with the Lead Installer and supervisor.
  • Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude, contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrate the ability to problem-solve with minimal supervision.
  • Judgment Skills: Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills in various work-related situations.

  • Pre-Employment Physical: A pre-employment physical is required to obtain a DOT Medical Card, as employees will be required to drive an FBS Vehicle (done after offering the position).

Strongly Preferred:

  • Countertop Installation Experience: Previous experience in countertop installations is strongly preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience using Microsoft Office products for administrative tasks.
  • Construction Background: A background in residential and commercial construction & remodels is strongly preferred.
