Overview

The Human Resources Associate will provide support to the HR department of a growing group medical practice and including daily operations and recruitment support.

This role will report to the Sr. Human Resources Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the HR department with daily operations such as personnel file management, employee inquiries and request management, addressing payroll questions and issues, and interfacing with Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other vendors
  • Answers frequently asked questions from candidates and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. and escalate more complex questions
  • Provides support and research capabilities to the HR department
  • Assists with development and maintenance of HR policies
  • Identifies and recruits potential employees via recruiting websites, employee referrals, on-site recruiting and other sources
  • Conducts phone screenings and preliminary interviews, coordinating schedules with practice staff and management
  • Verifies candidate work history, competency, and other qualifications
  • Assists with onboarding and other employee relations activities
  • Ensures responsiveness and excellent customer service is provided to all practice and management staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1+ years of internship or work experience within an office setting required, Human Resources preferred
  • Professional communication and presentation skills, including face-to-face, email, telephone, and video conference
  • Proficiency in technology, in particular Microsoft Office Suite, required, experience in an Applicant Tracking System preferred
  • Proactive nature with a willingness to learn and high attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Able to work in a high-paced environment with evolving priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • 'Team player' attitude and a good sense of humor
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn medical staffing and terminology
