Fire & EMS Consultant – Your Contribution

You will provide your Fire and EMS expertise to a variety of projects at all levels of government.

Some examples of the projects you might work on and contribute your expertise to:

  • Fire/EMS deployment and standards of coverage analysis
  • Community risk assessment studies
  • Master and strategic plan development
  • Performance audits
  • Organizational efficiency studies and staffing studies
  • Feasibility analysis
  • GIS modeling

Fire & EMS Consultant – Your Prior Experience and Skills

You are someone who:

  • Has worked or currently works as a Fire Chief for a county, city or fire district in California
  • Has knowledge of fire department operations (ie: staffing, performance metrics)
  • Is motivated by continuing to make a difference in the community
  • Has strong written and verbal communication and is comfortable presenting to elected officials
  • Can work 20 to 40 hours per week (you choose your schedule – when you work and how much you work) Hours in the first 3–6 months could be lighter as we partner to build your book of business and train you to consult. Work can be performed on weekdays, nights, or weekends.

You will conduct your work remotely and may travel to client sites throughout California.

Your compensation is hourly and based on the specific project and your billable hours.
