Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary:

The EAP Clinician position plays a critical role by offering support and case management when employees and family members call for services.  The EAP Clinician also provides office-based brief therapy for individuals, couples, and families, as well as assessments for substance use and suicidality. They may provide management consultations to client organizations when addressing a workplace performance issue or responding to a crisis in the workplace.  If you want to make a positive difference in the lives of others and value a healthy workplace, we encourage you to apply.


Responsibilities

  • Assess client needs and link them to providers or community resources
  • Provide brief individual, couples, and family therapy
  • Establish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients and providers
  • Communicate via phone, video conferencing, and email
  • Provide excellent customer service including follow-up
  • Maintain case notes
  • Comply with procedures to ensure confidentiality and security (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Provide onsite or virtual critical incidence response, as requested
  • Facilitate onsite or virtual training programs and orientations, as requested
  • Assist with scheduled on-call (approximately 5-6 times per year for additional compensation); all calls screened by after-hours service so only emergent situations are forwarded

Strong candidates will demonstrate:

  • Training and experience coordinating and facilitating critical incident response
  • Preference and willingness for in-person sessions


Qualifications

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctorate degree
  • 3+ years’ post-masters experience in a mental health field
  • Full clinical licensure in mental health (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina (associate-level not accepted)

 Preferences

  • Comfortable working with a team
  • Organized and able to multi-task and manage well under stressful situations
  • Customer service experience including phone-based
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn EAP software
  • EAP experience and CEAP credential
  • Training in critical incident response
