We are in search for a Manufacturing Engineer in the Milford, NH location. The Manufacturing Engineer plans and executes engineering or product development activities to design, develop and improve sapphire manufacturing processes and products. May utilize process improvement methodologies including DMAIC, DOE, SPC, etc. where applicable. Additional activities include process/equipment troubleshooting, CAD design of products and process components, safety and process documentation as required. Experience with Ignition or Control Systems is a plus.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and initiate innovative engineering ideas for the development of more effective manufacturing processes or products, or for the improvement of existing manufacturing processes or products. Documenting processes, procedures and equipment.
  • Participate as a team member or leader to coordinate, conduct and complete project based product/process design and development activities that support the goals and objectives of the company.
  • Prepare and present regular engineering reports, documents and drawings documenting results of a project or other engineering activity or effort.
  • Act as a resource for sales, marketing or a product development manager in support of customer service or product development.
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to less experienced engineers or technicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Typically Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial/Manufacturing, Materials/Ceramics) required.
  • Some Manufacturing experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
  • Experience with crystal Growth, Sapphire or other materials preferred.
