The Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls is looking for a friendly Front Office Reservations Specialist to join our team Enjoy awesome perks like paid time off, flexible hours, health insurance, and discounts on food and gift shop items. We need someone who's warm and sociable, great at working with others but also confident on their own, and can make smart decisions while staying motivated. Being detail-oriented is key to thriving in this role.
Compensation:$13 hourly
Responsibilities:- Take phone reservations for lodging, spa, and dining
- Give guests directions, and recommendations for activities, and give general area information
- Check guests in and out
- Ring up sales in the gift shop
- Keep the gift shop clean
- Sort through incoming mail and deliver it to the designated area
- Must be outgoing and friendly both in person and on the phone
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Must be able to work a mix of daytime, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Hotel or customer service experience is helpful but not necessary
- Customer empathy. You empathize with customers and seek to solve problems from their perspective
- Being able to arrive at work on time
Our company has been in operation for 38 years. We are a full-service Inn with Geodomes, Cottages, Yurts, Cabins, and Lodges. We also have an onsite restaurant where we serve breakfast daily to all guests for free. We are open for lunch in the peak season (May through October) and are open for dinner nightly. We have a spa where visitors can get massages, spa facials, scrubs, wraps, etc.
We have great benefits such as paid vacation, personal time, discretionary bonuses, health insurance, and gift shop discounts. We also offer discounted meals and spa services as well as free items such as towels and sheets when available. We also own a golf course and you can golf for free. Employee bonus after 90 days.
