Seeking Caring Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our Compassionate Team

St. Joseph Hospice in Hattiesburg, MS is seeking PRN Hospice Aide CNA to join our team and become part of our center of excellence as we provide hospice care to our patients and their loved ones.

Job Duties:

  • Provides assistance with mobility, transferring, walking, grooming, bathing, dressing, or undressing, eating and toileting
  • Assists with the safe use of a walker or wheelchair as taught and supervised by the nurse or physical therapist for a specific patient
  • Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following our guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to your supervisor
  • Reports any change in the patient’s mental or physical condition or home situation to the Registered Nurse and members of the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Completed High School or earned Equivalency Diploma
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Minimum of six (6) months’ work experience in a direct care setting
  • CPR Certified
  • Have dependable transportation, current driver’s license, and auto insurance
