We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and goal-oriented Practice Manager to join the team This position will oversee 3 clinics in the Bethesda, MD region. This position will require travel 90% of the time or more to all clinics in the assigned region. This position will have operational oversight for all non-provider staff ensuring all patients receive high-quality and efficient care. The Practice Manager will report to a Regional Manager of Operations and our VP of Operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides management, guidance, and training to Medical Assistants and all clinical non-provider staff. Fills in for staff as needed to ensure business continuity.
- Builds a high performing team ensuring employees are engaged, challenged and efficient in carrying out job responsibilities.
- Interviews, hires, and onboards team members.
- Assists in obtaining staffing coverage and schedule creation.
- Monitors compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Performance management including coaching/counseling and delivering corrective action.
- Ensures proper supply and inventory levels, including weekly supply ordering of office and medical supplies.
- Completes weekly site visits; addresses any issues with confidentiality and discretion.
- Assists AllCare leadership in planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring quality control and quality assessments.
- Partners with Physicians and APPs to assist with day-to-day operations and needs.
- 3+ years of healthcare management experience is required.
- Medical Assistant or clinical background preferred.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to supervise, motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to seek input from team members and follow through on commitments.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and evolving environment while being resilient and flexible.
- Working knowledge of payroll and scheduling.
- Strong computer skills – Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Possess a general knowledge of Electronic Medical Record systems (EMR).
- Understanding of HIPAA, OSHA and other state/federal healthcare requirements and regulations.
