Kosmos Cement is hiring a Terminal Operator for the Production Department as a Full-Time job in Nashville, TN. This position is looking to offer between $21-25 an hour, depending on experience.

The Terminal Operator is an entry level position. In this role, you will work with a small team to operate a cement terminal. You will receive instructions from the Terminal Manager and must be ready to perform all required job tasks according to OSHA safety standards and Company policies.
As a Terminal Operator, most of the time you will work outside, either on land or on river barges. A small portion of your job duties will include inside work. Basic computer skills are required. Kosmos Cement is a large cement manufacturing company that spans nationwide with opportunities for growth and expansion.
Terminal Operator Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Load customer trucks with cement using the computer system and process paperwork, as needed
  • Unload cement from barges using machinery (crane, skid steer, etc.)
  • Perform all job tasks safely and report any unsafe incidents
  • Maintain general housekeeping at jobsite, as directed
  • Use hand tools to perform preventative maintenance on equipment, as directed
  • Wear required PPE at all times
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Applicants must be safety-minded, and enjoy working outdoors. A background in mechanical maintenance and/or heavy equipment operation is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic reading, writing, math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Team-based mindset
  • Good communication skills
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
  • Mechanical troubleshooting
  • Heavy equipment operation (crane, skid steer, forklift, etc.)
