Job Scope:  
To provide administrative support to the Payroll Manager and HR team in all areas of the HR/Payroll function 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Payroll Manager in the biweekly processing of payroll, 401k and associated required reports.  Learn payroll process to operate as a stand alone processor with ability to run bi-weekly payroll in absence of Payroll Manager
  • Provide support to Payroll Manager with required compliance reporting and payroll and plan audits
  • Work with Payroll Manager on development and distribution of monthly reports
  • Utilize the HR system to develop and run ad hoc payroll reports 
  • Distribution of Payroll and Company Communication as required
  • Provide payroll data and documents as required for employee data requests, legal actions or litigation 
  • Provide Payroll Manager with support on 401k plan administration and on-going compliance to include auditing contributions, service requests, MRD and testing processes 
  • Assist employees with payroll and time off related questions
  • Assist with auditing employee data in the HR system on an on-going basis
  • Assist with processing manual checks/special runs as needed
  • Assist with auditing information for mass payroll changes
  • Responsible for data entry around the employee onboarding/offboarding process as a support to HR 
  • Responsible for the ongoing administration of new hires, transfers and terminations in the Payroll system to include coordination of timing entry/exits with payroll and system guidelines 
  • Establish proficiency with monthly health benefits billing process 
  • Provide overall administrative support to HR team to include coordination, processing and filing of employee information
  • Processing of payment of payroll or HR vendor invoices 
  • Assistance with HR projects as required

Skills/Experience Required:
  • Minimum of two years of payroll experience with prior experience in an HR or Payroll function preferred
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field, preferred
  • Prior experience with multi-state Payroll processing to include experience with HR data entry into payroll and HR systems required. 
  • Proficiency with payroll systems, prior experience with ADP HR and Payroll system preferred.
  • Prior experience with 401k retirement plans preferred.
  • Superior accuracy, detail oriented and deadline focused
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and MS Office 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong customer service focus
  • Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to be flexible and thrive in a fast-paced work environment, with changing priorities
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional office environment.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms.  The employee may also be required to lift product or equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
