Job Summary:

The Human Resource Professional will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including benefits and vendor management, state and federal employment rules and compliance, annual reporting,  research into HR topics,  and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disputes and investigations; performance and goal management; recognition and morale
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation, and complete Form I-9 review
  • Conducts annual anti-harassment and DEI training9
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
  • Maintain employee electronic files and spreadsheets
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, employment law, and government reporting regulations; assist with various required reporting
  • Assist with event planning, newsletter creation, and monthly team activities
  • Create AAP including data analysis and written narratives; serve as Affirmative Action Officer
  • Conduct exit interviews.
  • Support internal messaging and marketing. 
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee verifications
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Five years of human resources management experience preferred
  • SHRM-CP or PHR a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
