Aware Recovery Care (ARC) offers a holistic approach to treatment and changes the way clients receive care throughout the country. ARC is a year-long, home based, addiction treatment program that works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assist clients in their first year of recovery.

Position Summary:
The Quality & Compliance Specialist is responsible for serving as an administrator of the organization’s incident reporting system, conducting root cause analyses, case reviews, and designated internal investigations, as well as supporting clinical documentation improvement efforts through ongoing monitoring. This position also supports regulatory licensure, quality, and compliance efforts, in addition to participation and support of a variety of organizational committees and projects, while keeping a focus on quality, safety, and compliance.

  • This role is a full-time role with a salary range of 65k-80k

  • Serve as an administrator of the organization’s Incident Reporting system. 
  • Become a proficient user of the incident reporting system, including staying current on available trainings and resources provided by the vendor; 
  • Provide support for the incident reporting system to end-users in collaboration with Information Technology team members; 
  • Stay apprised of incident reporting system enhancements and available updates; 
  • Maintain workflows and procedures for the incident reporting system in collaboration with other administrators; 
  • Collaborate with Learning and Development team members to develop and ensure accurate training resources are available to the organization; 
  • Participate in incident report system improvement efforts; 
  • Provide data from the incident reporting system upon request; 
  • Support maintenance of incident reporting user-groups and assignees; 
  • Review and triage incident reports for the organization; and 
  • Escalate key incidents to designated leadership. 
 
  • Conduct root cause analyses and case reviews for designated cases. 
  • Respond in a timely manner to root cause analysis work; 
  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders related to key incidents; 
  • Accurately and professionally document interviews, identified opportunities for improvement, relevant electronic health record documentation reviews, timelines, and other case review information into approved templates; 
  • Communicate results of root cause analyses and case reviews with key stakeholders, including an overview of the findings and tracking corrective actions; and 
  • Support monitoring and communication of corrective action timelines. 
 
  • Conduct designated internal investigations regarding client related matters. 
  • Respond in a timely manner to assigned investigations; 
  • Maintain documentation per the internal investigation templates and training materials; 
  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders; 
  • Accurately and professionally document interviews, identified opportunities for improvement, relevant electronic health record documentation reviews, review of other available technology files and mechanisms, timelines, and other investigation related information into approved templates; 
  • Communicate results of internal investigations with key stakeholders, including an overview of the findings and corrective actions; and 
  • Support monitoring and communication of corrective action timelines. 
 
  • Conduct designated clinical chart monitoring to help ensure clinical documentation adherence to Aware Recovery Care policies, procedures, and regulations. 
 
  • Support regulatory licensure for the organization. 
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements; 
  • Participate in audit readiness and corrective action planning; and 
  • Participate in on-site and virtual regulatory reviews. 
 
  • Participate in organizational committees and projects as assigned. 
Required SkillsRequired Qualifications: 
  • Clinical licensure (LCSW, RN, etc.) 
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience 
  • Proficient with technical applications, including experience navigating electronic health records and Microsoft products
