About This Position:
The MST Youth Therapist/ Clinician will provide in home, community-based treatment for children ages 12-17 struggling with delinquent behaviors. This individual will work with the youth and their family to identify strengths and challenges in the school, home, community and other systems involved in the adolescent’s life. In addition, the Therapist will emphasize behavior change in the youth’s natural ecology by developing weekly treatment goals with the family. The MST Therapist will be part of a clinical team including the MST supervisor, Team Consultant, Agency Psychiatrist and other MST Therapists. Model specific training will be provided to all therapists, as well as weekly supervision for ongoing case conceptualization and support with treatment goals.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling and/or Marriage and Family Therapy – Required
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist/ LMSW, LPC-A, or LMFT-A – Required
  • Valid driver’s license - Required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with individual and family counseling – Preferred but not Required
  • Juvenile Justice Experience – Preferred but not Required

Rate of Pay:
  • $65,000 per year
  • $5,000 sign-on bonus

Schedule:
  • Mon-Fri with flexible start and end times ranging from 7am- 8pm. 35 hours per week.

  • Provide comprehensive MST treatment to each family that is individualized and family oriented.

  • Submit a monthly written progress report to the referring provider.
  • Discuss recommendation of transition from one department to the next step with referring provider.
  • Conduct a termination interview with the family to summarize the progress made during treatment.
