Job Summary & Purpose:

A Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be assigned to our Anaheim location to provide expertise to keep our fleet of vehicles, tractors, trailers, and heavy equipment well maintained with a commitment to safety, our field & in-house team, and clients.  Our Mechanic will use technical knowledge and diagnostic capabilities to perform preventative maintenance, regular minor & major repairs, and any emergency repairs as necessary.  Our company’s fleet of vehicles and various equipment and machinery include but are not limited to – trucks with both gas and diesel engines, bobcats, compact excavators, backhoes, trenchers, etc.  Like every member of our ALBD family, we rely on our Mechanic to have strong work ethics with a proactive, well-organized planning approach with focus on areas of responsibilities while taking company relations, our clients, and project expectations into consideration.


Responsibilities:
•     Proactively plan and schedule routine safety & functionality inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance for all vehicles, equipment, and machine repair.
•     Perform technical diagnostics to identify all necessary parts required to ensure efficient and timely maintenance, repairs, and/or rebuilds.
•     Procure, through proper processes and accounting channels, necessary parts and tools for scheduled and timely maintenance, repairs, and/or rebuilds.
•     Conduct regular preventative maintenance on company’s fleet, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes with a forward thinking approach.
•     Perform repairs and/or rebuilds of various equipment.
•     Perform minor and major repairs on company’s fleet of various gas and diesel powered vehicles, equipment, and machines.
•     Identify outsourcing needs for proper maintenance and repairs and coordinate accordingly.
•     Maintain parts inventory, with a proactive mindset, for the most efficient, well-functioning mechanic’s shop.
•     Pridefully maintain cleanliness and organization of the mechanic’s shop.
•     Maintain current, accurate, and organized records of each repair performed on entire fleet.
•     Proactively procure, maintain, and install company branding logos, decals, and signage on all existing and new vehicles and equipment.

•     Other responsibilities and duties may be assigned.


Education, Skills and Experience:
•     5+ years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic preferred.
•     Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
•     Bilingual (preferred).
•     Minimum (5) years driving experience.
•     Class ‘C’ driver’s license required.  Class ‘A’ preferred.
•     CLEAN DRIVING RECORD WITH NO POINTS.
•     Good communication skills.
•     Excellent organization skills and able to multi-task.
•     Positive attitude and team player mentality.
•     Proficient in Computer Programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
