The ideal candidate will come with experience in the Bag & Accessory categories, helping to support the end to end production life cycle from procurement through receipt & collaborating closely with our portfolio of vendor partners to ensure on-time delivery.

The Temporary Production Manager role reports to the Senior Director of Production and will require a weekly in-office presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What you’ll do as the Temporary Production Manager:
  • Oversee the day to day operations of our seasonal and core bags & accessories product

  • Drive daily communication with our Asia based Production team and portfolio of global vendor partners

  • Collaborate with key cross-functional partners to drive calendar adherence on final product approvals that align with our lead times and production plans

  • Proactively problem solve for production challenges in an effort to mitigate impact to planned delivery

  • Maintain data integrity in our weekly WIP report & ERP system

  • Keep up to date records of raw material (RM) stock levels in collaboration with our core suppliers and Asia based team

  • Track weekly E2E production & delivery flow, highlighting any risk or delays to Sr. Director ahead of key meetings each week

  • Build and maintain relationships with our global vendor base through recurring video meetings and daily communications (email, WIPS, etc..)

Who you are:
  • 6 years related professional experience. Category exposure in bags/accessories a plus

  • Experience working with overseas vendors and Asia based teams

  • Analytical & proactive problem solver with a strong attention to detail

  • Familiarity with building and maintaining product calendar timelines 

  • Strong written/oral communicator 

  • Proficiency with Excel and Google suite; experience working with an ERP system 

  • Proven success in multi-tasking and remaining agile as needs of the business evolve

  • Team player with a "no task is too small" attitude

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

  • Passionate about transforming travel (but that’s a given)

Compensation Package:

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards program that also includes benefits, bonus, equity and various social and professional investment opportunities at Away. Pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including scope and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Away employees. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at Away to fall healthily within the range based on these factors.

  • Compensation range: $50.00 - $55.00 hourly
