TPAPT, a national consortium of over 12,000 locally owned and operated Tutoring & College Advising Programs, is looking for College Essay Camp Instructors to deliver week-long virtual essay camps this summer. As a Remote College Essay Camp Instructor, you will provide guidance and support to high school students in crafting compelling college essays.
You will work closely with students to help them brainstorm ideas, develop strong thesis statements, and revise and edit their essays for clarity and impact. The ideal candidate has instructed a summer essay camp in the past, has excellent writing and editing skills, and is passionate about helping students succeed.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $65-$75/hr
Classification: Contract (1099)
Hours: 8 hours / week
Tutoring Type: Remote, College Essay
Requirements
- MA or MFA in English, Create Writing, or related field.
- 2 years of past experience working as a college essay coach in a paid capacity.
- An intimate knowledge of the Common Application Writing Prompts
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Knowledge of college essay writing best practices and current trends in college admissions.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
