Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Hartsville, SC. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the structural design landscape of facilities across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Your primary responsibilities will include crafting meticulous designs, specifications, and cost estimates for a diverse array of civil and structural projects, with a particular focus on facility and heavy industrial equipment foundations. Additionally, you will take ownership of project and on-site construction management, ensuring strict adherence to project requirements and design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Craft designs, specifications, and cost estimates for civil/structural projects, encompassing facilities across North America and equipment foundations for heavy industrial installations.
  • Lead project and on-site construction management efforts, ensuring compliance with design specifications and project requirements.
  • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of current industrial facility construction practices and advanced technical knowledge in structural analysis and design of materials like steel, concrete, and wood.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technical written communications, deliver impactful oral presentations, engage effectively with customers, foster collaborative teamwork, and provide strong leadership.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • PE license.
  • Thorough knowledge of heavy industrial facility construction practices.
  • Comprehensive technical grasp of structural analysis/design in steel, concrete, and wood.
  • Experience in project/construction management and proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Comfort working in confined spaces and challenging environments such as dirty, hot, and humid settings (e.g., Paper Mills).
  • Willingness to scale ladders and work at heights.
