Job DescriptionJob Description

The Material Handler / Driver Help will be responsible for performing an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and/or organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. This person may be responsible for driving a company vehicle and trucks, moving pallets back and forth, organizing and maintaining a clean warehouse, stacking pallets, palletizing, and wrapping pallets.

Dependability and reliability is a must. Clean driving record. Ability to work between 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday with the flexibility to work overtime, extended Holiday hours, or weekends based on business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist shipping and receiving loading and/or unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Accurately and efficiently assisting to prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders: pull materials; pack boxes; place orders in proper shipping area
• Visually inspect and sort products, assist in counting of physical inventory
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Prepare parcels for mailing including pick/pack with 100% accuracy
• Maintain safe, clean, organized and orderly work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep and dust
• Complies with all safety and security guidelines as dictated by position and company

Qualifications:

• Good communication, organizational, time management, attention to detail, and mathematical skills
• Dependable and Reliable
• Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills are required
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team, and to exercise independent judgement
• Ability to use warehouse equipment, ie pallet jack, pallet lift, fork lift, possibly drive a medium sized truck
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality, and have a positive attitude in the workplace

Physical Demands and Abilities:

• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or climb
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
