Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair a variety of production and plant facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Perform maintenance activities on automated robotic welding equipment.


Job Description

  • At FIC, safety is priority #1. Must comply with all governmental and company safety rules & regulations.
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, such as lubrication, checking and testing
  • Dissemble / assemble of machinery and equipment for replacement of defective components and / or sub-assemblies.
  • Repair machinery and equipment using a variety of hand and power tools, such as grinders, torches, hammers, and wrenches
  • Collaborate with Production Engineer to modify Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • Make adjustments and verify operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Test machinery / equipment after repair to ensure proper operation
  • Record and maintain records of checks, tests, repairs, and parts numbers needed
  • Assist with mechanical rebuilds, installations, and moves
  • Utilize mathematical calculations and read diagrams, manuals, and blueprints
  • Respond to production machine down calls in timely fashion
  • Order spare parts as needed for equipment
  • Follow standard work instructions
  • Perform other duties assigned


Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak and read basic English to comply with position, Safety, Plant & PPE procedures & requirements
  • Experience with safe operation of overhead Cranes & heavy loads
  • Experience with robotics, PLC and automation systems
  • Working knowledge of spot, MIG and TIG welding
  • Must be willing to cross-train
  • Must be able to work company’s required overtime
  • Must comply with FIC’s Attendance and Punctuality Policy
  • 5+ years experience working as a equipment maintenance mechanic
