Trinity is currently hiring a full-time Director of Development who will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, directing all donor relationship development and management, include fundraising, some grant writing, and event planning. Success in the position will lead to you forging new relationships to build Trinity's visibility, impact, and financial resources. You will expand and diversify Trinity's donor base/pipeline and work closely with other team members, the CEO and the Board to secure funding from new sources and for new initiatives.

The Director of Development will report to the CEO.

Trinity is poised to conduct a Capital Campaign which the Director of Development will oversee.

What will you be doing as the Director of Development?

  • Actively work with the CEO and senior staff to develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy to include individual, corporate, and foundation revenue and in-kind support.
  • Craft strategies and tactics to engage new prospects in Trinity's mission.
  • Cultivate donor relationships
  • Write and track funding proposals as a member of the grant-writing team.
  • Monitor all donor information in the Bloomerang Donor Management System; provide statistical analyses and reports on progress.
  • Implement public events and programs designed to increase brand awareness, donor relationships, and revenue.
  • Oversee a variety of fundraising and friend raising events.

What are your skills and experience?

  • 6+ years of professional fundraising experience in a nonprofit organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, communications or a related field of study.
  • Demonstrated success building and running a development department.
  • Experience with soliciting major gifts, operating a capital campaign and planned giving.
  • Flexible and adaptable style.
  • Excellent communication written, digital and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as a team player.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • High-energy, socially-sophisticated, politically-savvy, hands-on, can-do attitude.
  • Familiarity with donor database management, especially using Bloomerang.
  • Optimism and innovation are key attributes of the successful candidate.
  • Strong commitment to and passion for Trinity's mission.

Salary - $60,000 to $80,000 annually

In addition to a competitive salary, you will enjoy many unique benefits, including 14 paid holidays, access to health insurance at the start of your first full month of employment and you'll immediately start accruing sick days and vacation time the moment your employment begins.
