Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our rapidly growing IT organization. This position will build and maintain reporting & insights systems that support our entrepreneurial business requirements. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in identifying solutions amidst large and complex data sets and the ability to transform insights into strategic opportunities.

The position requires strong data hands-on skills and experience as well as establishing close business relationships and stakeholders across the Field Operations and Service Assurance organizations.

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst your responsibilities will include:  

  • Design, develop and maintain our reporting infrastructure using the various reporting stacks including Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, Looker, and QlikSense
  • Analyzes data from internal and external sources to ensure accurate data for business consumption
  • Utilizes understanding of multiple data structures and sources to design, develop and implement decision support solutions, which may include data visualization, business intelligence, or data collection
  • Partners with IT to influence the design, alignment, and implementation of ETL processes and data structures.
  • Conducts research and analysis of business situations to contextualize and summarize data for end users.
  • Develops innovative approaches to address complex data issues and business problems
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to define business requirements and uses those requirements to develop business intelligence reports
  • Evaluate business needs and objectives to inform your data architecture design solutions
  • Serve as a technical business analyst / consultant to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, MIS, or similar quantitative field preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a data analyst, Power BI developer or Business Intelligence analyst with a strong technical foundation
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform preferred
  • Hands-on development experience with at least one of the leading reporting tools, including Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, Looker, and QlikSense
  • Extensive experience in writing SQL and working with complex datasets
  • Experience with big data technologies and advanced data analytics is preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, leading, and participating in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment concurrently on multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Commitment to excellence - quality, detail and deadline driven
  •  Ability to work independently without frequent direction entrepreneurial mindset and take ownership attitude
