Job Summary: Leads Room Attendants work in assigned area and performs Audits/Inspections. The Lead Room Attendant will be responsible for cleaning rooms as well as other duties as assigned.

Duties

  • Willingness to accept the most effective role.
  • Checks unoccupied rooms to insure accuracy of housekeeping and front office reports.
  • Checks all Vacant Rooms/ Villas /99 Rooms daily as assigned.
  • Oversees the activities and actions of assigned personnel.
  • Assists in the cleaning of rooms/villas when assigned.
  • Does Audits as required on Inspected ready rooms/villas for cleanliness, supplies, maintenance problems, and temperature.
  • Completes and communicates maintenance work orders to the Rooms Division Manager.
  • Inspects assigned stayover rooms/villas for cleanliness, supplies, and precautionary damage concerns.
  • Ensures linen storage rooms, trash rooms, and housekeeping carts are clean, organized, and properly inventoried for next day’s activities. Ensures combustible substances are removed from storage areas.
  • Keeps hallways, vending areas, and stairways clean and free of obstructions (furniture, dishes, etc.).
  • Discusses personnel issues with Rooms Division Manager.
  • Investigates and reports inappropriate behavior by staff, guests or suspicious persons.
  • Evaluates productivity and quality of work of each staff member and provides additional training.
  • Ensures all arrival rooms/villas are inspected and cleaned by 4 pm check in time.
  • Ensures staff members report in and cleared before departing resort.
  • Inspects tour rooms for site inspections
  • Ensures Room statuses at end of day are correct and communicated to the Rooms Division Manager.
  • Ensures accuracy of nightly housekeeping reports and investigates discrepancies.
  • Completes Key and Radio sign in and sign out sheets accounts for all keys and radios.
  • Signs off daily on lead housekeeping checklist.

Qualifications

  • Excellent management skills including conflict resolution, coaching, development and teamwork.
  • Previous experience in hotel or resort management required.
  • Positive attitude

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 30 lbs. while bending and stretching.
